This is banded jasper stone, carved sometime in the Qing Dynasty, in the the form of delicious braised pork belly (東坡肉), a specialty dish of Hangzhou, made up of half melt-in-the mouth fat, half lean meat. I remember seeing this carving in the National Palace Museum in Taiwan when I was 12. It still impresses me.
Yeah, it’s definitely an impressive and humorous piece....

she disagreed with how i said women are looked down upon and actually said that rape is natural and that rapists can’t control themselves
i gave her some links to good tumblr blogs educating about sexism and rape, and that was the last time...
